Tampa - here we come

HI to all - tomorrow the med flight people will be picking up Dustin and myself between 10-10:30. It will be a 2 mile ride to the airport and about an 1 1/2 hour air trip. We will arrive in Tampa and be picked up by ambulance and then on to the Tampa VA.

They have us set up in the Fisher House which is for military veterans families who live more than 50 miles away. You may stay free up to 90 days in a year. If you look it up on the web, you will see that it is a beautiful house. We have a suite and then Rick will join me on Thurs or Friday. He will follow us to the airport and then head by and back up my giant paycheck (12 hours/minimum wage) and then head back to Thomaston. He will be stopping to pick me up some mushroom compost and then on home with the dogs in tow. He will arrive to check on our awesome new baby chicks who are the cutest things I have ever seen. I am so glad they came while I was still home and could see them. They are a variety of rare breeds and there are 24 total. We left them with lots of food and water under a lamp to keep warm.

Dustin is stable enough to travel although I have not had a true update on his medical status. We got here around 7:15 to see him and he actually looks really good and is excited to get to Tampa.

Pray that we "soar on eagle's wings" and it will be a awesome smooth transition with plenty of hope and encouragement for us all.

As always, we love each and every one of you

Ray and I will begin our day in prayer for all of you in prayer for this trip.
I think the Lord was speaking to you through those baby chicks. He talks about how He longs to gather his children together, as a hen [doth gather] her brood under [her] wings.
Think about those wings. Too often we think of eagle's wings, but sometimes He keeps us really close to the ground.
The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust. Ruth 2:12
How excellent [is] thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. Psalm 36:7
We love you dearly.
