(An update from Tiffany. I just spoke to my dad who had a quick layover in Denver on his way back to Georgia to join Mary Pat and Dustin. He wanted me to create a Blog Post to keep everyone updated)
Dustin is now settling into his room in the Augusta VA Medical Center. Dustin and Mary Pat were transported via ambulance from the ICU in Albuquerque yesterday (10/29/08) morning at 6:00. They flew on a private jet staffed with medical personnel to Georgia. The flight proved to be difficult for Dustin and he experienced cardiac arrest, but was treated accordingly by the doctors on board the plane. He was admitted into the VA Medical Center and taken to his room where he stabilized and is doing well today.
Dustin will undergo a complete physical today by his new medical staff. Mary Pat is with him and Pastor Anita and Brenda also drove to Augusta to be with Dustin and Mary Pat. Rick is currently flying from Albuquerque to Atlanta and will drive to Augusta this evening.
Mary Pat and Rick will head to Roanoke, VA this weekend to attend the memorial services for Mary Pat's mom, Lil and son, Forrest which are likely to be held on November 3rd at 11:00 AM (details still being finalized).
Mary Pat and Rick want to thank everyone in Albuquerque who have been of tremendous help over the last month. The medical staff at the University of New Mexico Neuroscience have been wonderful and are greatly appreciated. Thank you also to the many local people who have helped with providing lodging, companionship, and prayers through this difficult time.

HI Rick and Mary Pat,
I am so thankful to God that Dustin arrived there safely. It is with mixed emotions that I write this. I am glad you are closer to home, but I also miss my new friends and miss working with Dustin. I pray for you all constantly and will continue to seek updates on this Blog.
Please know you are in my prayers.
God Bless,
Melanie (Dustin's Occupational Therapist)
